Chocolate Oaxacan Spice with Almonds

$25.00

Order this week’s featured flavor: Chocolate Oaxacan Spice (cinnamon, cayenne, espresso) with Almonds

These biscotti offer the best of all worlds: a crisp outside reveals both gooey chocolate chunks and crunchy almonds inside. SO dunkable (although delicious undunked as well!)

Ingredients: Flour, butter, sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, sliced almonds, vanilla, espresso powder, baking soda, salt.

Ordering & Pickup -

  • Orders must be placed by Thursday at noon using the order button on this page.

  • Pickup is from our North Park front porch Friday 1:00-7:00 PM and also Saturday 9:00 AM - 4 PM. You’ll get the address when your order is confirmed.

  • These come nicely packaged with 10 six-inch biscotti per bag (or 12 if some are shorter.)

Storage & Care (yes, biscotti deserve care)

  • Store in a cool, dry, airtight location.

  • Homemade biscotti typically last 2–4 weeks.

  • If they soften, or if you prefer them SUPER crunchy, simply airfry, toast or warm at 300°F for 5-10 minutes, then let them cool for a few minutes.

  • Do not refrigerate (too much moisture = sadness).

The Backstory:

I’m 100% Italian, and feeding people brings me an unreasonable amount of joy. I’ve been cooking Italian food my whole life— both in Italy and here. I started offering homemade biscotti as snacks to my painting students here in San Diego, and they were a hit. Now, I’m making them available to the rest of the creative San Diegans out there.

Here’s how it works: once a week, I do a small biscotti bake. The flavors will rotate and be super fun, including Lemon Pistachio with White Chocolate, the Oaxacan (chocolate chunk with almonds,, cinnamon and chili), the Tuscan (fig, walnut, anise), Almond Joy (toasted coconut with almonds and dark chocolate) and more.

And while you can buy these for yourself (no judgment), they’re really designed to be foodie gifts—nicely packaged, thoughtful, and a subtle way of saying “I have excellent taste and I care about you.” These are best given to people who appreciate authentic food, high-quality ingredients and a gift that’s a little unique.

Biscotti, of course, means “you have excellent taste.” (Actually , it means “twice baked.") They’re delicious alone or dunked in milk, tea, coffee… or, if you’re really committing to your inner Italian, red wine. A good bourbon dunk is also a clutch move. And don’t even get me started on grappa.
