We’ve just built a small outdoor painting studio (shaded) in our North Park, San Diego home, and I’m offering small (2-3 people at a time) classes on demand, tailored to whatever level you’re at.
We’ll be doing abstract or impressionist work on large scale canvases. You decide what you‘d like to paint! Need some inspo? Find something you love online, screenshot it, and we’ll use it as a starting point.
Note - we’ll be painting BIG - 40” x 30" (trust me, it’s easier that way) and I texturize the canvases with art plaster (makes for some cool effects). With this approach, most people can create something beautiful, even if they have “no artistic ability.” Everyone has artistic ability. We just have to tap into it. I’ll provide supplies and guidance and encouragement and snacks. Classes last about 3 hours.
One class is $100, all materials included, and that’s generally enough time to finish a painting. Click below to book a spot in a session. If you’re coming with a friend or partner, you each need to book individually. A $25 deposit holds your spot (with the balance due the day of class). The deposit is non-refundable, but the time slot is reschedulable if you run into a conflict. We need two people minimum to run the class, though that has not been an issue, happily. We’re booking 2-3 months out for weekend dates. If you can come on a weekday, please inquire - I can likely accommodate that. Thanks!
